I had not published this song anywhere before because this was recorded when I was working with a band a few years back and we sort of had an understanding that if we were to ever part ways that we wouldn’t use any of the music; however, I really liked this demo and I had been debating for a long time now on whether I’d like for my fans to hear it or not.
Finally, I came to a conclusion that I had put a lot of work into this song and that if I want to use it just as a demo, it is not so unethical. If by chance, one of my band mates happens to run into this I would like him to know this is how I feel about this material. I am grateful that he recorded this for me and I am kind of sad we didn’t keep on working together and work out our creative differences, but I think I deserve to use this demo for the hard work that I’ve put into it.
Story behind the song:
I wrote this during my first ever break up with my now ex. We got back together shortly after this song was recorded though so in a way I feel like I sang him back to me. Nowadays, I try to avoid writing break up songs ha ha…yea right….lol.
